Another 25 free stock photos sites
During the previous weeks I have used pictures from another 25 of free Stock Photo websites in my posts. As a kind of follow-up on the post about the first 25 links to these websites I’ll summarize the next 25 (or in fact 28) links in this post.
An example picture of each site can be found in the previous posts. Like in the previous overview the order of the links is based the publication date. The first link corresponds the oldest post.
Please note that the combination of both overviews contains more than 50 links to free stock photography sites.

- unices.org contains about 2000 pictures free of right.
- dieBlen.de is a German site with currently 383 images in 8 categories.
- The images from freerangestock may be used in commercial projects like websites, advertising, books, videos, and other commercial presentations.
- If you are looking for high quality pictures then Photocase.com may be an interesting site, but they use a kind of credit system which enables you to download the pictures.
- If you are looking for textures than the stock photographs on Texture King will be something you want to look at.
- The collection on PacHD contains more than 1000 pictures. I have used a beautiful rose from this collection.
- ilovestockphoto.com was formed in April, 2008 and their goal is to provide the best quality of Royalty-Free Stock Photography and Royalty-Free Stock images. Not all images are free, but there is a free category.
- Barry’s Free Photos offers over 2300 FREE Stock Photos in various categories.
- Free nature photos contains a lot of beautiful pictures and allows private non commercial users to download them as long as they follow the rules that are mentioned at the website. You must place a hypertext link and for website use you have to place it on you own server. I liked the poppies very much.
- FreeFoto.ca is a large collection of free photographs on the Internet. The images are free for private and non-commercial use, but a link back and attribution is required.
- The Water Lilies from Bali were taken from Tripalbum that has a nice collection of travel images of Argentina, Indonesia, Morocco and Singapore. These are available for download under a Creative Commons license.
- Over 2.000 free photos of birds, animals, flowers, plants, objects, close-up and macro photos etc can be found in the gallery of photico.com.
- The DHD Multimedia Gallery is a collection of original stock photography, clip-art, sounds and video clips, for use in Web design, PC’s screen wallpaper, etc.
- Microshots.org is a rather new stock photography site with currently 594 images. This collection of close-up stock photography will be updated on a regular basis. The site contains surface textures, plants, metal, wood, etc
- One of the more than 500 pictures from the gallery of Imagetemple.com was used to create the variations on a flower. The gallery contains a lot of 7 megapixel photos that you can download for free.
- The site morgue file contains free high resolution digital stock photography for either corporate or public use.
- Image*After is a large online free photo collection. You can download and use any image or texture from this site and use it in your own work, either personal or commercial.
- Diwiesign studio is the place to find a lot of royalty free stockphotos like rusty textures, dark industrial themes or dirty wasted motives. But dirt can be beautiful especially if you add a frame to it.
- OneOddDude.net offers some nice image galleries, including nature and landscape, ocean, sunsets, animals, seasonal, and flowers. All images are free for personal, non-commercial use.
- DesignPacks.com offers free, high quality image collections that can be used for both personal and commercial web design projects. Each collection contains 15 images with a specific theme and can be downloaded as a single ZIP file.
- All the pictures at Bajstock.com have been taken by Jean-Baptiste Maradeix. They can be freely used for both non commercial as well as commercial purpose. For a commercial purpose a reference to Bajstock.com is compulsory.
- Yellowstone Digital Slide File contains about 13,000 images related to Yellowstone National Park that are in the public domain and may be reproduced, free of charge with the proper credit line.

- Insect Images is a joint project of The Bugwood Network and USDA Forest Service and contains more than 30000 images.
The images included in the Bugwood Network Image Archives are made available under a Creative Commons license. In addition to InsectImages.org the network includes the following domains: - - ForestryImages.org,
- - IPMImages.org,
- - and Invasive.org.
- The Belgian site Fotogalerijen.be contains a lot of beautiful picture galleries about parks in Europe like Disney Paris and Efteling park
- Imageblowout.com is another source for free images. This site contains about 250 images and I have used the picture of the blowball of a dandelion. This seemed to be the appropriate picture for a link to this site.
